Helsinki International Arts Programme
Ukraine Solidarity Residencies offer residencies and accommodation for Ukrainian and Ukraine-based artists and art professionals who are fleeing from Ukraine or who have been displaced due to the war in Ukraine.
To address the catastrophic situation in Ukraine a group of independent art organisations have joined together to pool resources and share information to provide residencies as well as to work together to build diverse and extensive networks of solidarity. The collaborating partners include; AARK, Connecting Points programme, Fairres, Frame Contemporary Art Finland, Goethe-Institut Finnland, HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme, Pro Artibus and Saari Residence.
The residencies are located in various places around southern Finland. Accommodation, travel and living costs of the residents are covered as part of the program. The residency period generally lasts from 1 week up to 3 months. The residencies can host a single artist or artist with family members (up to 4 people).
