Saxony- Performance opportunity - Ukrainian violinists
Хто знає в Німеччині українців, які грають на гобої чи скрипці? На музичний проект з 22 по 31 липня 2022р. Це є проєкт Georg Christoph Sandmann
We are looking for four Ukrainian refugees who play the violin to take part for free in our annual music week “Sächsische Chor- und Instrumentalwoche (SCIW)” from July 22 to 31, 2022 in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Saxony.
Who we are:
The SCIW is an annual music week that unites hobby and professional musicians. They come together for ten days each summer to practice and rehearse a concert program under professional direction. At the end of the week, they present their work in two concerts.
The week is hosted by the choir agency of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Saxony under the musical direction of Prof. Georg Christoph Sandmann and Katharina Reibiger and organized by volunteers.
The rehearsels will be held in German and English.
This year’s program includes
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage”, op. 27
Pēteris Vasks: “Dona Nobis Pacem” for mixed choir and string-orchestra
Robert Schumann: “Overture, Scherzo and Finale”, op. 52
What we offer:
We offer two positions for first violins and two for second violins.
The whole week is free for you, including accommodation and food for ten days.
You will be part of our welcoming community and enjoy a week of making music together!
