ONLINE (or in LONDON) - Guildhall School of Music and Drama - DEADLINE 01/07/2022

There are two routes for application:

  1. Visiting Student (Remote), i.e. online learning via Zoom.

  2. Visiting Student (On-Site), i.e. in person at Guildhall School London.

1. Visiting Student – Remote (Off-Site/Online)

Limited places are available and offers will be allocated based on the strength of audition/portfolio submissions (as appropriate).  

 ELIGIBILITY
Candidates for this scheme MUST:

  • be Ukrainian nationals; and

  • (if located in the UK) be lawfully resident in the UK at the time of application, i.e. have been granted leave to remain under the Ukraine scheme; AND

  • not be enrolled with another higher education provider (university/music college/conservatoire), other than with a Ukrainian institution where your study has been interrupted by recent events; AND

  • have access to an internet connected device with a suitable resolution and microphone, reliable wifi with sufficient bandwidth suitable for online lessons.

  • have access to an instrument if necessary.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER
Successful students will be:

  • attached to an undergraduate or postgraduate programme for one year only in the academic year 2022/23, commencing September 2022

  • offered a free application for one of our full degree programmes for the academic year 2023/24

  • offered 15 hours of REMOTE (e.g. via Zoom) Principal Study lessons with a specialist teacher

  • given a school email account

  • granted access to library online resources including Nkoda

  • fully funded for tuition fees only (i.e. no tuition fees will be payable). However, students must have the means to pay for their own living costs.

Please note: this is a one-year offer of study with Visiting Student status for REMOTE/ONLINE tuition. There are no formal assessment points and, therefore, no transcripts/degrees/certificates will be awarded at the completion of study. All students will be offered a certificate of attendance and a free application to one of our in-person (London-based) degree programmes for the academic year 2023/24.

Details about how to upload your video(s)/scores will be supplied AFTER we receive your application form.

 2. Visiting Student – On-Site at Guildhall School, London

 Limited places are available and offers will be allocated based on the strength of audition/portfolio submissions (as appropriate).  

 ELIGIBILITY

Candidates for this scheme MUST:

  • be Ukrainian nationals; AND

  • be lawfully resident in the UK at the time of application, i.e. have been granted leave to remain under the Ukraine scheme; AND

  • be located/living in the Greater London region (within the M25 motorway); AND

  • not be enrolled with another higher education provider (university/music college/conservatoire), other than with a Ukrainian institution where your study has been interrupted by recent events.

 WHAT WE CAN OFFER
Successful applicants will be:

  • attached to an undergraduate or postgraduate programme for one year only in the academic year 2022/23, commencing September 2022

  • offered a free application for one of our full degree programmes for the academic year 2023/24

  • offered 15 hours of one-to-one Principal Study lessons with a specialist teacher allocated by the School

  • offered the opportunity to participate in ensemble projects, if applicable to area of study

  • offered access to existing classes if appropriate to the department/discipline/level and associated English language skills (determined by Head of Department)

  • given a school email account

  • granted limited access to the library (5 items maximum at any time), plus access to all online resources including Nkoda

  • granted access to practice rooms on same terms as other students

  • granted limited access to Student Affairs services

  • fully funded for tuition fees only (i.e. no tuition fees will be payable). However, students must have the means to pay for their own travel and living costs.
